The Anti-Drug Club (ADC) of Government Polytechnic College, Trichy conducted an orientation programme on the harmful effects of drugs for the academic year 2026-2027, as part of the institution's ongoing student welfare and de-addiction awareness initiatives. The programme aimed at educating students on the dangers of substance abuse and encouraging a healthy, drug-free lifestyle on campus.

As part of the programme, staff and students came together for a Mass Pledge Event, committing to say no to drugs and to work towards the Club's vision of a "Drug Free Campus, Brighter Future" — guided by the motto Aware · Commit · Act.
