The Training and Placement Cell of Government Polytechnic College, Trichy works to prepare students for successful careers through skill-development training, mock interviews, aptitude sessions and campus recruitment drives conducted in coordination with reputed industries. The college has maintained a strong placement record across departments — Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Engineering and Sugar Technology — over the past several academic years.

Students have been placed with leading organisations such as McDermott, Technip Energies, Hyundai, Nokia, Larsen & Toubro, Siemens, TVS, Aditya Birla Group, TATA Electronics, Foxconn and several other companies, with many offers extending into on-the-job training and higher-education pathways as well.
