Main Objective of Canada India Institutional Cooperation Project(CIICP)

 The Canada India Institutional Cooperation Project (CIICP) is a major Human Resource Development Project launched during the year 1991 through a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Govt. of Canada and the Govt. of India. The main objective of the Project is to train the staff of the Polytechnic Colleges to improve the quality and enhance the quantum of the human resource potential and to achieve development in Polytechnic Education System.

The Project was initially funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and initiatives formulated and executed jointly by the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. When the Project came to an end on 31st March, 1999, the State Project Coordination Unit (SPCU) was formed and SPCU is taking steps to achieve holistic development in Polytechnic Education System.

At present, 105 Polytechnic Colleges are participating in this Program. Various job oriented, need-based training programs are offered by the CIICP Polytechnic Colleges under Continuing Education Programs.

The CIICP has been approved in this College and is being implemented from the academic year 2003 - 2004 in the VI phase of the replication project.

The main objective of the project is to conduct needful courses as non- formal education using the available infrastructure facilities and to generate revenue which shall be used for the institution's development. The beneficiaries are the students and the society. The project is monitored by the Principal who is the co-ordinator of the project. In this project, thrust areas have been identified and goals are being implemented, after a careful preparation of strategic planning document. The thrust areas are Continuing Education, Staff Development, Industry - Institution - Interaction, Management Information System, Women in Development, Environment Development and Student's Service. Under Continuing Education the following coures are conducted.

3. Auto CAD Latest Version

4. Cell phone servicing

5. Beautician

6. A/c Refrigeration Service

7. Hardware Servicing

8. Embedded System

9. Pro-E

10. Automotive Engineering
